total payment in 20 days= ₹745
let he worked = x days
so he absent y days
payment =60x+5y
60x-5y=745
5(12x-y)=745
12x-y=149........(2)
x+y=20...(3) (given in eq1)
adding eq3 from eq2
12x+y+x-y=149+20
13x=169
x=13 days he worked
(20-x)=(20-13)=7 days he was absent
