Answer:

a) 6500 Sq. Ft.

b) 3 bags of grass seed

Step-by-step explanation:

1st part

AREA OF BUILDING =AREA OF THE RECTANGLE

Therefore, area of rectangle = L*B

=50*62

=3100 Sq. Ft

2nd Part

Area of whole Trapezium abdc=

Area= 1/2 * 80* (100 +140)

= 9600 Sq. Ft.

a) Area of Lawn= Area of whole plot -Area of building

= 9600-3100

= 6500Sq. Ft

b) No. of grass seed bags needed= Area of lawn /area covered by 1 grass seed bag.

{NOTE :- 1 SQ.METRE=10.764SQ.FT}

=6500/2152.78

=3 bags (approx.)

THEREFORE, THREE BAGS OF GRASS SEED WOULD BE NEEDED TO COVER THE LAWN.
