A labour's elevator descends into a coal mine shaft at the rate of 6m/min if the descent starts from 20m above the ground level,how long will it take to reach-340m

time = 6m/s
distance = 340+20=360m
which is -360m
it take time = distance÷time
= 360÷6
= 60 mins or 1 hour

we add 20 because the elevator starts from 20 m above
