Given:

Total salary = 2100 rupees

Payment reduction from absenteeism = 30 rupees

To find:

We need to find the number of days the laborers remain absent.

Step-by-step explanation:

  • We can easily find the number of absenteeism by forming an equation.
  • We can plot the unknown number of days to be "x".

Solution:

let the number of days the workers remain absent = x

The total number of payments that would have been done to workers  = 150 *20

The salary that they got = 2100 rupees

Now the difference between total salary and the actual salary:

= 3000 - 2100\\\\=900

Now let the days of absenteeism be = 30x

According to the question:

30x = 900\\\\x = \frac{900}{30}\\\\x= 30

The workers did not come for thirty days.
