Hi there!
Here's the answer:

•°•°•°•°•<><><<><>><><>°•°•°•°•°

Labourer was engaged for month

Each day he gets 60₹
If he present for 30 day, he will get 60×30₹ = 1800₹

For each day of his absence,
he will be fined 10₹

Assume that he was absent for x days
Then from the Total Salary 10x is deducted.

•°• Labourer salary per month
= (No. of days he was engaged × His pay for the engaged days) - (No. of Days he was absent × Fine for each day of his absence)

i.e.., S = (30 × 60) - (x × 10)

•°• S = 1800 - 10x

Given,
1700 = 1800 - 10x
=> 10x = 1800-1700
=> 10x = 100
=> x = 10

•°• No. of days the man was absent = 10

Hope it helps

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Let Days present be x

Days absent be (30-x)

Amount for days present is 60x

Amount for days absent be 10(30-x)

He gets 1700 rupees so the equation is

60x - 10(30-x)= 1700
