Hypotenuse=13cm

One if the sides =12cm

Then the other side or the dist from the foot of the wall to the ladder =

By pythigoras theorem

12²+x²=13²

144+x²=169

x²=25

x=5cm(dist of the ladder from the foot of the wall)
