In this situation, we will apply Pythagoras formula here.

H^2 = P^2 + B^2

Where H = height of ladder

P = height of window from the ground

B = distance of lower end of the ladder from the base of the wall.

Accordingly

25^2 = 24^2 + B^2

625 = 576 + B^2

B^2 = 625 - 576

B^2 = 49

B = √49

B = √7 × 7

B = 7

So, the distance between the foot of the ladder and the wall is equal to 7 meters.
