Ladder is 4.5 m long, the distance is 2.7m away.

We use Pythagoras' Theorem to find the height

a² + b² = c²

2.7² + b² = 4.5²

b² = 4.5² - 2.7²

b² = 12.96

b = √12.96

b = 3.6 m

Answer: The height is 3.6m

\huge\textbf{ANSWER}

By Pythagoras theorem we have

h²=p²+ b²

(4.5)²=p²+(2.7)²

20.25=p²+7.29

p²=20.75-7.29

p²=12.96

\mathbf{p = \sqrt{12.96} }

=3.6m
