In the triangle by Pythagoras theorem
(wall length)square + (length between the wall and the foot of ladder) square =(length of ladder) square
4.8 square + length between the wall and the foot of the wall square = 6 square
23.04+length between wall and ladder square = 36
Length square = 36 - 23.04
Length = under root 12.96
Length = 3.6m
