height of flagstaff = 13.5 m

Step-by-step explanation:

A ladder 9m long reaches a point 9m below the flagstaff

Let say Height of Flagstaff = H m

then Height of point where Ladder is touching = H - 9 m

Ladder length = 9 m

foot of the  the ladder the angle of elevation of the top of flagstaff is 60

Let say foot of Ladder is at  F  m  Distance

then Tan60  =  H/F

=> √3 = H/F

=> F = H/√3

(H - 9)²  + (H/√3)²  = 9²

=> H²  + 81 - 18H  + H²/3  = 81

=>  4H²/3 = 18H

=> H = 54/4

=> H = 13.5 m

height of flagstaff = 13.5 m
