right angle triangle ABC

AB represents wall and AC represents

ladder.

Given :

Distance of ladder from wall is BC=10 m

Height of window is AC=24m

The wall makes an right angle at

window with ladder.

In right angle triangle ABC,

(AC)^2 = (AB)^2 + (BC)^2

(AC)^2 = (10)^2 + (24)^2 =

100 + 576 = 676

We know that , [ 26^2 = 676]

Then ,

26 m is the length of the ladder
