★ Solution :-

Firstly refer the attachment

Given that ,

  • The ladder reaches a window
  • Length between ladder and foot of the wall = 15m
  • Height of wall = 20m

It forms a right ∆ , with base 15m & height 20 m

Now , finding length of ladder

Using , Pythagoras theorem

Hypotenuse² = Base² + Height²

Where ,

  • Hypotenuse = ladder
  • Height = Wall
  • Base = land

→ length of ladder = √15² + 20²

→ length of ladder = √225 + 400

→ Length of ladder = √625

length of ladder = 25m

Hence , length of ladder = 25m
