A ladder on the platform of a fire brigade van can be elevated at an angle of 70° to the maximum. The length of the ladder can be extended upto 20m. If the platform is 2m above the ground, find the maximum height from the ground upto which the ladder can reach. (sin70°=0.94)

Step-by-step explanation:

  1. Given length of the ladder = 20mangle is {70}^{0} and the height of ladder from base is 2 m then max height of ladder's reach will be equal to
  2. \sin(70 ) = \frac{x}{20} \\ x = .94 \times 20 \\ x = 18.8 m \\a nd \: this \: ladder \: is \: above \: 2 \: m \: from \: base \\ then \\ 18.8 + 2 = 20.8m \:
  3. this 20.8 m is our maximum height
