C.P. for lady on sweets = 50×20=1000 paise
S.P. for lady on sweets
= (50-10)×40 = 40×40 = 1600paise

S.P. > C.P. , therefore, gain

gain % = {(S.P.-C.P.)×100}/C.P.

= {(1600-1000)×100}/1600

= (600×100)/1600

= 60000/1600

= 37.5%

therefore, the gain% is 37.5%.

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

1 sweet = 20 paise

50 sweet = 20 x 50 = 1000 paise

sweets consumed = 10

sweets not consumed = 50 - 10

                                           40 sweets

s.p of 1 sweet = 40 paise

s.p of 40 sweet = 40x 40

                            1600 paise .

she got for 1000 and sold for 1600 .

so, it is a profit

profit = sp-cp

         1600-1000

           600 paise

profit percent = profit/cp x 100

                          600/1000 x 100%

                           60%

so, she got 60% profit
