Solutions :-

Given :-
A lady is standing in front of a plane mirror at a distance of 1 m from it.
She walks 60 cm towards the mirror.

Find the distance of her image from the mirror :-

Initial distance from mirror - Final distance from mirror
1 m - 60 cm
= (100 - 60) cm
= 40 cm

Now,
The distance of her image now from herself

The Distance of her from the mirror + The distance beyond the mirror
= (40 + 40) cm
= 80 cm

Hence,
c) 80 cm is the required answer.

As, Given.

Distance from mirror = 1m = 100 cm = Initial distance.
As she walk toward the mirror, this distance will become Final distance.

So,

Final Distance = 60 cm

Now,

Distance From the mirror = Initial Distance - Final Distance

=> Distance = (100-60) cm = 40 cm.

As we know that, When Image formed in a Plane mirror then it also form Behind or Inside the mirror of same distance.

So,

=> Total Distance = Distance from the mirror + Distance behind the mirror.

=> Total Distance = (40+40) cm

=> Total Distance = 80 cm

So as per your options, the conclusion comes that :- Option (c) is Correct.
