Answer:

22

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x be the money she stared with

= (x/2) (spent on hankier & Rs.1 to beggar money remaining)

= x ((x/2)+1)

= (x/2) - 1

= 1/2 ((x/2)-1) spent on lunch & Rs. 2 tip

= (x/2) -1 - [(1/2){(x/2)-1}+2]

= (x/4) - (5/2)

= 1/2 ((x/4) - (5/2)) on book and Rs.3 on fare.

= (x/4) - 5/2 - [1/2 ((x/4)-(5/2))+3]

= x/8 - 7/4 = 1

x/8 = 1 + (14/8)

x/8=22/8

x = 22Rs.
