A lady went to bank with rs 100000 and asked the cashier to give her rs 500 & 1000 currency notes in return , she got 175 currency notes in all .find the number of each kind of currency notes

total currence = 175
suppose she get x 1000 currency not
the 500 currency note = 175-x

1000x + 500(175-x)= 100000
500x + 87500 = 100000
500x = 12500
x = 25 note of 1000 currency
175- x = 175 - 25 = 150 note of 500
