Answer:

l= 5m

b= 2.5m

Total land area = l*b

= 5*2.5

= 12.5m sq

Length of 1 sq bed= 1

Area of 1 bed = l*l

= 1*1

= 1m sq

Total no. of beds = 5

Thus total area of 5 beds = 1 m sq * 5

= 5 m sq.

Thus Area remaining = Total land area - Total

area of the beds

= 12.5-5 m sq

= 7.5 m sq

Thus, Area remaining= 7.5 m sq. Answer.

Concept

The area of a square is that the measure of the space or surface occupied by it. it's capable the merchandise of the length of its two sides.

Given

We are on condition that a land is 5m long and 2.5m wide. There are five square beds whose length is 1m.

Find

We have to seek out the realm of remaining land.

Solution

Side of square bed =1m.

Now, we'll find the realm of square bed.

\begin{aligned}\text{Area }&=\text{Side }\times \text{ Side}\\ &=1m \times 1m\\ &=1m^2\end

Therefore, the realm of 5 square beds is 1\times 5=5m^2.

Now, the Length of land is 5m and breadth of land is 2.5m

So, we are going to find the realm of land.

\begin{aligned}\text{Area of land }& = \text{length  }\times \text{ breadth }\\ &= 5 m \times 4 m \\&= 20 m^2 \end{aligned}

Further, we'll find the area of remaining land

\begin{aligned}\text{Area of remaining part }&= \text{Area of land }-\text{ Area of five flower beds}\\ &= 20 m - 5 m \\ &= 15 m^2\end

Hence, the area of remaining land is 15m^2.
