A lawn is 80 m long and 60 m wide. There is a swimming pool of length 20 mx 6 m in this lawn.
What will be the cost of putting grass in the remaining part of the field at 30 per square metre?​

Therefore, the area of remaining part of the field

Area of the lawn - Area of swimming pool

= (L×B) - ( l×b)

= (60×80) - (20×6)

= 4800 - 120

= 4680 sq m.

Cost for planting grass / m square :- ₹ 30

= 4860 ×30

= ₹ 140,400 .
