When ball dropped from above height(u=0) we have by motion's third law as

v_f = \sqrt{2gh}. Then,

e = \frac{|0-\sqrt{2gh_2} |}{|\sqrt{2gh_1}-0 |} \\\implies  e^2 = \frac{h_2}{h_1} \\\implies 0.16 \times 0.16 = h_2(bounce)/(1m)\\\implies h_2 = 0.0256m
