let x = fixed charge for three days
let y = additional charge
A.T.Q

x +4y=27.......(1)

x +2y =21.......(2)

multiply equation (2) with 2.....we get

2x +4y = 42......(3)

by elimination method solve (1) and
(3) equation we get ..

x= 15 then y= 12

Answer:

Let the fixed charge for first three days and each days charge be Rs x and Rs y respectively.

\\

\large{\underline{\mathfrak{\pink{According\:\:to\:\:the\:\:given\:\:information\:\::-}}}}

 \\   \boxed{ \sf{\orange{x + 4y = 27}}}   \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: -  -  -  -  -  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: (1) \\  \\  \\  \boxed{ \sf{ \green{x + 2y = 21}}} \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  -  -  -  -  -  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: (2) \\  \\  \\

Subtracting equation (1) from equation (2), we obtain :

 \\  \sf \: 2y = 6 \\  \\  \\  \sf \blue{y = 3} \\  \\

Substituting it in equation (1), we obtain :

x+12 = 27

=> x = 15

  • Fixed charge = 15
  • charge per day = 3
