start the letter telling that its quiet cold and your winter vacations have started. The winters are freezing. tell your special plans that you have for your winter vacations like if you have planned to learn something special/new or you have thought of learning to cook and enjoy delicious dishes. Tell if you have to go somewhere during the holidays. Ask him about his plans
