A lift of mass 1000kg is moving with an acceleration of 1 m/s 2 in upward direction. Then find the tension developed in the string connected to the lift.

Tension=mg+ma

apply the formulae and find the answer

= 1000 (9.8 + 1)

= 1000 (10.8)

= 10800 N

there fore,

the tension developed in the string = 10800N
