as momentum of both light and heavy object is same it is clear that the velocity of the lighter object will be more than that of heavy object as VELOCITY is a dominant factor in determining kinetic energy greater velocity means greater kinetic energy that is why the kinetic energy of lighter object will be heavier than heavy object
