minimum deviation= 2i-A
30=2*40-A
A=50
refractive index=sin i / sin r
sin r =sin40/1.5
r=25°

Answer: Angle of refraction is 25 degrees and angle of prism is 50 degrees

Explanation:

WKT, IN ANGLE OF MINIMUM DEVIATION CONDITION ,

i1 is i2

so wkt,

A+D= i1+i2

A+30=2i

A+30=2(40)

A=80-30=50 DEGREES

WKT,

A = R1+R2

HERE ,R1=R2

50/2= R

R=25
