refractive index is equals to a speed of light in vacuum divided by the speed of light in medium since frequency of light is independent of medium
so refractive index becomes wavelength of light in vacuum divided by wavelength of light in medium
from this formula we get the wavelength of light in medium is equals to 4000 angstrom
