write the equation of line passing through two points

(y-0.98) =  \frac{1.18-0.98}{0.8-1} (x-1)
y-0.98 =  \frac{0.2}{-0.2} (x-1)
y-0.98= -1 (x-1)
y-0.98 = -x+1
x+y-1.98=0 is the required equation-------(1)

the line intersects y axis at (0,y)
substitute in eqn(1)
0+y-1.98=0
y=1.98
there fore the required point is (0,1.98)
