Hi Mate!!!
Equation of line passing through the two points
( x1 , y1 ) , ( x2 , y2 ) and having slope m is
y - y1 = m ( x - x1 )
m = y2 - y1 / x2 - x1
Exp:-
y - y1 = m ( x - x1 )
x1 = 3 , y1 =0 and m = 1 - 3 / 4 - 0 = -1 / 2
y - 0 = -1 / 2 ( x - 3 )
2y = 3 -x
2y + x = 3 this is equation of required line.
Now, divide both sides by 3 we have
2y / 3 + x / 3 = 1
y / ( 3 / 2 ) + x / 3 = 1
so, y intercept is 3 / 2
