by using formula 

$\frac{(y-y_1)}{(x-x_1)}=m$    where m = slope

so 
$\frac{(14+6)}{(-3-x)}=-4$ 

⇒$\frac{20}{(-3-x)}=-4$ 

⇒$5=3+x$ 

⇒$x=2$  ANSWER

m =y2-y1  
      x2-x1
-4 =14+6
     -3-x
-4 =20
     -3-x
12 + 4x=20
