Hi there !!

A linear equation in 1 variable can have 1 solutions , 2 solution or none

Her ,

3x + 7 = 0

3x = -7

x = -7/3

Here there is only 1 solution for the equation.

Number of solutions of a polynomial is equal to degree of polynomial.So,given linear equation will have 1 solution
                 3x+7=0
           3x=-7⇒ x=-7\3 is solution of given linear equation.
