Heya
here's your answer
Height of the object, h = +5 cm
focal length of the convex mirror, f = +20 cm
And object distance of the convex mirror, u = -20 cm
= 1/v +1/u = 1/fz hence
1/v = 1/f - 1/u = 1/(+20) - 1/(-20) = 1/10
=> v = +10 cm
The +ve sign of v suggests that the image is formed behind the mirror and is a virtual image.
As linear magnification, m = h'/h = -v/u
∴ Height of the image, h' = - v/u ×h
h = -(+10)/(-20) × (+5)
= +2.5 cm
so, a virtual and erect image of size 2.5 cm is formed behind the mirror at a distance of 10 cm from the convex mirror.
