A liquid provided to you is water. the boiling point of this sample is recorded as 102 degree celcius. what can you say about the purity of this sample of water ? Explain.

we know the Boiling point of water is 100°c and we also know when when water is heated to its boiling point it does become pure because the bacterial and Viral infection microbes are killed while boiling..

Answer: The boiling point of pure water is 1000C. Soluble impurities increase the boiling point of a liquid. As the sample of water boils at 1020C, hence it is not pure. Impurities does not affect the freezing point, hence the given sample of water will freeze at 00C.
