A liquid rises through a height of 4 mm in tube of diameter 2 cm how much it will rise in tube of radius 3 mm.

Volume of liquid displaced for 2 cm diameter= pi*(10)^2*4   (pi*r^2*h)

The volume displaced in the 2nd tube is equal

So, pi*(10)^2*4= pi*(3)^2*h  (h is the required height)

=>h=10^2*4/3^2

=>h=400/9 mm

=>h= 44.44 mm
