  • Clive was permitted to take much gold from the treasury of Bengal as the conqueror of Bengal,  where the Bengal province was the richest Indian province, thus making Clive one of the wealthiest men in England.
  • He was the Mastermind of Plassey battle in the year 1757 . He defeated the Nawab Siraj-ud-daulah treacherously.⠀ Plassey battle was a war of corruption and treachery. In India he laid the foundation stone for the British rule.
