A litre of a gas at 20 degree celsius is heated until both its volume and pressure are tripled. Find the new temperature.

Apply the formula,

 PV = nRT

P1V1/P2V2 = T1/T2 [n, R is constant]

Let, P1= P, V1= V

As given - P2= 3P, V2=3V, T1= 20°C/293K

T2= ?

PV/3P×3V= 293/T2

1/9= 293/T2

T2= 293×9

T2= 2637K
