A load of 2 T (1 T = 1.000 kg) is raised in a lift to the 6th floor of a building. The height of each floor is 2.5 meters. How much potential energy does it have?

m=2T=2 kg

h= 6 floors=6×2.5 m=15m

Potential energy

= mgh

=2×10×15

=300
