The basic definition of research is collecting information on a particular required topic by using multiple sources and mediums to attain the required information and further analyze it and convert it into useful data.
The collection of data which is done by various mediums like interviews and surveys helps to know the facts or opinions.
Research is and can be done by anyone on different levels for example a cosmetics manufacturing company might conduct a large level market survey to find the target audience or to have feedback on their products whereas on other hand a student may conduct a short level survey or research for the completion of their school project.
