A machine gun of 20 kgfires 30g bullets at the rate of 400 bullets per sec with a speed 400m/s. What force must be applied to keep the gun to keep it in position

mass of gun (M) = 20kg

mass of each bullet (m) = 30g = 0.03kg

speed of each bullet (v)= 400 m/s

number of bullets(n) = 400 bullets per second

F = n × mv = 400 × 0.03×400 = 4800N

4800N force should be applied to keep the gun in position
