Given:

Energy = 1000J

Mass = 10kg

Distance = 6m

To find:

Machine Efficiency

Solution:

Firstly, find force

To calculate force formula used is-

       F = mg

here, F = force

        m = mass

        g = 10ms⁻¹

      F = 10 × 10

      F = 100N

so, the force will be 100N.

Now, calculate work required,

   Work required, Wr = F × d

                                   = 100 × 6

                                   = 600J

   Work done, Wd = 1000J

So, to calculate machine efficiency, we have

efficiency =  \frac{wr}{wd}

efficiency =  \frac{600}{1000}

efficiency = 0.6 \times 100

Efficiency =60%

Hence, Machine efficiency is 60%
