No. of Hindi novels = 45
No. of English novels = 72
Total no. of novels = 45 + 72 = 117 novels.
Now, to find the no. of packets necessary , we need to find the Highest Common Factor (HCF) of 45 and 72...so we will get the no. of packets, such that each packet will contain same no. of novels.
45 = 3 x 3 x 5 [HCF BY PRIME FACTORISATION METHOD]
72 = 2 x 2 x 2 x 3 x 3
So, HCF = 3 x 3
= 9
so, total no. of packets required = 9 packets
No. of English novels = 72
Total no. of novels = 45 + 72 = 117 novels.
