A magnet attracts a piece of iron towards it.Are the attraction and repulsion same as push or pull?Explain.

Yeah,

Attraction and repulsion can be described as pull and push respectively. if we pull an object it will come closer to us same as magnet attracts a piece of iron towards it and vice versa
