a magnet shoes poles are not marked is placed on a table how can u identify and mark it's poles using another magnet with known poles

Hey mate!
If we even don’t know that which poles are there of the magnet lying on the table we can bring a well demarcated magnet with its north and South Pole mentioned near that magnet.
If we bring the North Pole of the magnet towards a random end of that lying magnet, and if the magnet repels, it can be identified that it is the North Pole and the other end is the South Pole, and if magnet attracts then that end is the South Pole and the other end is North Pole.
