A man 1.5 m tall stands on top a light house 40 m high and sees a ship at a deppression of 35°.How far is it from the foot of the light house?​

Height of light house = 60 m

Angle of depression = 30 °

Let the distance of boat from the light house = s.

Then ,

angle of depression = angle of elevation height

tan ∆ of elevation = hieght by distance

tan 30 = 60/s

s = 60√3m
