SI = 2000×11×2÷100 = Rs 440
Amount he should pay = Rs ( 2000+440 ) = Rs 2440

Here we need to find the Simple Interest of ₹ 2,000 at 11% per annum for 2 years.

We know,

Simple Interest [S.I.] = P×R×T/100

 Principal [P] = ₹ 2,000

Rate [R] = 11 % p.a.

Time [T] = 2 years

∴ Simple Interest = ₹ 2000×11×2/100

= ₹ 20×11×2

= ₹ 440
