SI = Amount - Principle

=> a × 10 × 5 / 100 = 3600 -a

=> a/ 2 = 3600 -a

=> a = 7200 - 2a

=> 3a = 7200

=> a = 2400

Principle = Rs 2400

Money he borrowed from bank = Rs 2400
