A man bought 1500 pencils at Rs.40 a dozen. If he sold all of them at Rs.4 each, what profit did he make? Also, what is his profit percent?

1. first multiply 4 by 1500 get the amount

2. then divide 12 by 40 then multiply it by 1500. then subtract the 2nd from the 1st you will get the profit

then apply the formula sp =cp(100+p%)whole divided by 100 you will get the p%
