A man bought 2 watches for RS 3000 each. He sold one of them at a profit of 10% and another at a loss of 20%. Find total gain or loss

Profit=Rs 300

Loss= Rs 600

x + y + \frac{xy}{100 } \\ \\ Here,\: x \: = profit \: and \: y \: = loss \\ \\ 10 - 20 - \frac{10 \times 20}{100} \\ \\ = > - 10 - 2 \\ \\ = > 12

So, the Loss% = 12%
