Total cost = 25 000 + 3000 + 500 = 28 500

Sales = 40 000

Gain = 40 000 - 28 500 = 11 500

Percentage gain = 11500/28500 x 100 = 40.35%

.

Answer: Percentage gain = 40.35%

C.P = 25000

Overhead expenses = 3000+500

Net C.P = C.P + Overheads = 25000+3000=28500

S.P = 40000

Gain = S.P - C.P = 40000-28500= 11500

∴ Gain percent = Gain/C.P × 100 = 11500/28000×100= 42.35 %

Answer : Hence , his gain percent = 42.35 %
