Given:-

  • A man buys 600 eggs at 5 for rupees 20.Out of 600 eggs, 2 dozens of eggs are broken.and he sold the remaining eggs at rupees 5 per egg.

To Find:-

  • Find the profit or loss made by him.

Analysis:-

⇒eggs he bought : 600

⇒at 5 which cost Rs.20

⇒so,cost of an egg = Rs.4

Solution:-

⟼no.ofeggs \:  = 600  \:  \:   \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: \\ ⟼no.of \: eggs \: which \: broke = 24 \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: \\⟼ eggs \: left = 600 - 24 =  \pink{567}   \:  \:  \:\:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \\ ⟼cost \: each \: egg \: was \: sold \: at \:  = 5 \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \\ ⟼money \: earned \:  = 5 \times 567 =  \blue{2880}

now,the cost to buy 600 eggs was

 : ⟹ 600 \times 4 \\  : ⟹ rs.2400

so the profit =

⟹ 2880 - 2400 \\ ⟹  \sf {\boxed{\pink{ rs.480}}}\:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:

\blue{ \boxed{ \purple{\therefore \: th \: man \: earned \: te \: profit \: of \:  = rs.480}}}

hope this helps.!!
