Let us assume that the man purchased N no of eggs at 2 for Rs 1

CP of N eggs = Rs N/2

He purchased equal no ie N eggs at 3 for 2

CP of N eggs = 2N/3

Total CP of 2N eggs = N/2 + 2N/3 = 7N/6

SP of 2N eggs = 3/5×2N = 6N/5

Profit = 6N/5 - 7N/6 = N/30

Profit percent = N/30 ×6/7N ×100 = 20/7 = 2•85%

Gain = 2•85%
